Once they reach year 7/8, if they are tall, this does not apply - they should probably be using a 36" stick.

What day and time do the teams practise? [Click to view | Close]Locations:
Year 1-2 practice at the Ben Lomond Indoor Cricket Centre on Thursday days 4-5pm
Year 3-4 practice at Pakuranga College or Sommerville Intermediate school between 4-6pm
Year 5-8 practice at Lloyd Elsmore Hockey Stadium or Pakurange College Monday or Thursday nights between 5-7pm
Day and time of practice will be confirmed once the teams/coaches have been choosen.
Where and what time are games played in the weekend [Click to view | Close]Games are played on turfs within the Auckland area - the old Auckalnd City, Manukau City and Waitakere City areas only.
Games are played on Saturday mornings for all Junior hockey and start between 8am and 12pm. Below is an indication of game times, but these times are yet to be confirmed by Auckalnd Hockey.
Guide: 11 aside (intermediates) 8am - 10.30
8 a side (year 5-6) 10.30 - 12
6 a side (year 3-4) 10.30 - 12
Minis (year 0-2) - midday
